Bellpulls and Tapestries

This cross-stitch design is finished with
golden brown velveteen backing and trimmed
with light gold twisted cording.
The stitched fabric tabs hang over a white wood rod.

This cross-stitch design was finished into a long bellpull.  It has a cotton striped backing, custom tassel, and is decorated with ribbons at the hanger.  The edge is trimmed with green twisted cording.

This is a large bell-pull, approximately 14 across. It is lined with interlining, batting, and the backing is velvet. There is a dowel inside so the bellpull won't droop down in the center when hung. Design by Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum.

This needlepoint design was finished into a bellpull with a golden bronze velveteen backing.  The heavy brass hardware is from Wichelt, and is accented with a tassel at the bottom.

This hand-painted canvaswork design was finished into a bellpull with black velveteen backing.  The tassel is made from chainette fringe and was supplied by the customer, as was the brass bellpull hardware.  Canvas by LEE.

This needlepoint tapestry was stitched on Penelope canvas in wool thread.  It measures approximately four feet across.  The tapestry was framed in dark burgundy velvet, and backed in dark burgundy velvet.  The piece will be hung on a wrought iron pole with finials by the customer.

This is a very large, very heavy tapestry of Thai origin.  It measures approximately five feet across.  The tapestry was framed in black velvet, and backed in black velvet.  The wood pole and finials were purchased at a home improvement store.

A smaller bellpull, perfect for a smaller design. Backed with velvet and lined with canvas and batting. The tassel and the trim match the colors in the Santa. Design by Mill Hill.

Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum's Celtic Banner design is shown here, finished two different ways.  I believe both pieces were stitched on Glenshee linen, but not the color variations that are much more noticeable on the left piece (on the "i").  The bellpull on the left is more formal with a tassel at the bottom and a traditional twisted cording hanger.  The bellpull on the right is more contemporary with a knotted fringe bottom and tab top hangers.

Small Hardanger ornament with wire-supported top and hanger.  Design by Hermanson Hardanger.

Bellpull stitched on stitchband, with twisted cording hanger and ribbon detailing at top.  Tassel at bottom; backed with red felt.  Design by Calico Crossroads.
