This needlepoint design is backed with two fabric frames of velveteen fabric. The green fabric frame is gathered to add detail to the design. Soft blue and green twisted cording accents the first frame. The pillow is trimmed in a matching multi-loop trim and backed in white satin moire fabric. It is zippered and stuffed with a down insert. This vintage needlepoint piece was refinished from a worn out pillow.  It was blocked and then sewn into a ruffled front round pillow.  Twisted cording trim accents the front of the design.  Purchased tassel trim decorates the edges.  Silk dupioni fabric is used for finishing.

I finished these matched pillows for my Father-in-Law.  His mother had passed away before finishing them.  He saved the needlepoint and wool, so I was able to finish the stitching, and then sew the pillows.  The trim matches the burgundy wool, and the back of the cushions is a suede-like fabric. They are zippered and measure 15" square each. One design is Bucilla, the other is Paragon Needlearts. Stitching on penelope canvas in wool yarn.
